DC Alginate color
DC Alginate Color is a lead-free alginate showing three different colors during the course of setting. The sequence of colors guarantees accuracy during impression taking even for the unpracticed user. It is germicidal and thus facilitates impression‘s hygiene. A particular anti-bacterial additive disinfects the impression after removing it from the mouth. Thus, dimensional variations due to immersion into disinfectant solutions are eliminated. Suitable for all impression techniques, e.g. prosthetics, work models or orthodontic models.
(from start of mixing) at a water temperature of 23° C. Cold water retards, warm water accelerates setting.
Working method:
Invert the can a few times before using in order to loosen the powder. A measuring set facilitates a precise measuring:
1 measuring spoon = 17 g
1 measuring cup = 39 ml
Fill the powder into a clean, dry and flexible mixing bowl. Add water and mix with a spatula until a creamy, pink, soft mixture is obtained.
Impression taking:
We recommend to use a perforated impression tray. Before, the patient should rinse the mouth with warm water. The alginate should be brought into the mouth when the color turns to white.
It is to be held using slight pressure for approx. 30 sec. After having removed the impression tray, the impression is to be rinsed under cold running water.
Important:
Impression should be cast immediately after removal from the mouth. If this is not possible, the impression is to be covered by a damp cloth and to be stored in a polyethylene bag to keep dimensional variations as small as possible.
Storage:
Closed, room temperature and dry.
Attention:
The impression contains silicogeneous fine dust. The dust formation has been reduced, however, breathing dust should be avoided! Gloves should be worn.
DC Feinsthybrid:
DC Feinsthybrid NF is a light-curing, radiopaque Nano hybrid composite material for inlay therapy. DC Feinsthybrid NF is cured at a wavelength of 400 – 500 nm (blue light).
Composition:
The fillers consist of barium glass fillers, radio-visible fillers and silicone dioxide with a particle size between 0.04 and 3 μm. The inorganic fillers amount to a portion of 76% (w/w) or 60% (v/v),
respectively. DC Feinsthybrid NF comprises methacrylates (22% w/w). Furthermore, it comprises additives, initiators, stabilizers and dyes (0.8% w/w).
Indication:
• DC Feinsthybrid NF is a universal inlay material for direct restoration of cavities of anterior and posterior teeth (also occlusal stress bearing).
• Class III and IV anterior tooth inlays.
• Class V inlays (cervical caries, root caries, wedge-shaped defects).
• Class I and II posterior area inlays.
• Veneering for discolored anterior teeth.
• Fixation of loose teeth.
• Fissure sealing in the molar and posterior area.
• Repair of composite and ceramics veneers.

DC Bleaching Office
DC Bleaching Office is a dual syringe-system for a particularly effective whitening in the dental office only with medical indication – normally in a single session. It can be used to whiten single or multiple teeth or parts of teeth. It can also be used for whitening of single endodontically treated nonvital teeth including intracoronal bleaching. DC Bleaching Office is an alternative non invasive treatment (compared to crowns or veneers) for the treatment of dark, internally discolored teeth through illness, injury or medical treatment such as teeth congenital, systemic, and iatrogenic or pharmacological factors such as Fluorosis, tetracycline or minocyclin stains in adults, trauma, jaundice, and porphyria.
DC Bleaching Office is available in 38 % Hydrogen Peroxide (H2O2 - mixed 30%).
The gel is highly viscous to prevent dripping. It can be applied easily to the teeth using the mixing tips. The mixed gel is red. The used syringe can be closed, allowing the remaining gel to be used for the next patient, with a new mixing tip.
Warning: Because of the high concentration of Hydrogen Peroxide DC Bleaching Office is highly reactive. To avoid contact with skin or eyes we recommend the use of gloves and safety goggles. For safety reasons, the patient should also wear safety goggles. If the gel does come into contact with skin, remove it and rinse immediately with water. White spots may appear in the affected area and you may experience a burning sensation. The symptoms should disappear after approx. 30 – 60 minutes. If the gel comes into contact with the eyes, rinse immediately and consult a doctor.
1. Preparation
Before the bleaching treatment a diagnostic indication for pathological tooth discoloration has to be defined by the dentist. After examining the patient, the current tooth color should be documented. It may be advisable to begin the treatment with a professional tooth cleaning. The teeth should be kept free by using a lip holder, lip retractor or similar instrument. If necessary, use cotton wool balls and apply a lip care to the patient’s lips. Because restorative materials will not whiten, it is recommended that teeth are whitened prior to placing aesthetic restorations. Any dental work (crowns, fillings etc.) should be done 1 – 2 weeks after the treatment in order to match the color of the newly whitened teeth.
2. Application of Gingiva Protector
- Gingiva Protector is easy to apply light-curing resin which allows optimal covering of soft tissue and neighboring teeth during whitening. It is also suitable to cover exposed tooth necks and filling materials during the treatment. Attach the dispensing tip to the top of the syringe of the Gingiva Protector.
- Dry the gingiva carefully to ensure that the Gingiva Protector will hold and seal during the complete treatment. Place the Gingiva Protector directly on the gingiva and cover 3 – 4 mm of the gingiva and 0.5 – 1 mm of the teeth. Now light-cure the Gingiva Protector with a UV-lamp for 30 – 40 seconds in an arching movement over the material. Instead of the Gingiva Protector a rubber dam can also be used.
3. Whitening procedure
- The gel should be used at room temperature. Attach the mixing tip to the top of the dual-syringe of the DC Bleaching Office. On gauze or mixing pad, verify the flow of the gel prior to applying intraorally.
- Apply the gel directly to the surface of the teeth (to whiten single teeth, Gingiva Protector and the DC Bleaching Office can also be applied lingual). The gel should be applied about 1 – 2 mm thick (avoid contact with other parts of the body and clothes).
- Allow the gel to work about 15-20 minutes. Reduce the application time and cycles if patient experiences sensitivity.
- Remove the gel from the teeth using suction – do not rinse – then apply a fresh layer of gel to the teeth.
This process can be repeated three times (3 x 15-20 minutes).
- After the last treatment remove the gel first using suction and then by rinsing it off by water.
Now the Gingiva Protector, lip holder and cotton wool balls can be removed. Finally, the patient should rinse their mouth with warm water.
The tooth color after treatment should also be documented for your records.
Internal bleaching of endodontically treated teeth:
Wait at least one week following the endodontic procedure before performing a non-vital tooth whitening and ensure that the tooth is endodontically sound.
1. Check the X-rays, to ensure that an adequate apical endodontic sealer is in place and to check where the alveolar bone margin runs.
2. Remove the filling material from the access hole until the depth that you have defined on basis of the X-ray image. Continue to remove the filling material and / or temporary endodontic materials in order to allow the tooth whitening agent contact with the internal structure of the tooth. Only this procedure allows best results.
3. Seal the root with conventional glass ionomer cement. Apply a 1-2 mm thick layer to ensure a secure seal.
4. The internal whitening is performed according to the instructions for vital teeth. Cover the gingiva around the tooth with Gingiva Protector. Apply DC Bleaching Office gel into the cavity and make sure the tooth structure is covered with 1-2mm gel. Apply the gel also on the outside surface of the tooth.
Wait 15-20 minutes. Suck of the gel. Procedure might be repeated for 1 or 2 times. After the last application suck of gel and rinse off remaining gel from cavity.
5. Use non-eugenol temporary restorative material to seal the opening.
6. Before starting to work on adjacent teeth, it is recommended
to wait at least two weeks after the whitening treatment – in order to stabilize the tooth color Side effects Occasional, increased sensitivity of the teeth. In rare cases: painful tooth sensitivity, staining of the teeth, irritation of the gums. All side effects are temporary and subside 1-3 days after the application has been stopped.
Contraindications

DC Bleaching Home
Avoid contact with eyes. Rinse immediately if product comes into contact with them and seek medical advice. Not to be used on a person under 18 years of age. To be only sold to dental practitioners. For each cycle of use, the first use to be only done by dental practitioners or under their direct supervision if an equivalent level of safety is ensured. Afterwards to be provided to the consumer to complete the cycle of use. With DC Bleaching Home you can whiten your teeth in a safe and effective way without causing damage. Please be aware that crowns, bridges and fillings will not benefit from any bleaching procedure. A professional tooth cleaning is recommended before using this product. The teeth should be in good condition and without any cavities. Please consult your dentist if you have any questions. DC Bleaching Home is available in various concentrations. The higher the carbamide peroxide content is the shorter the treatment time. The treatment can be done overnight or for 1–4 hours during the day. The treatment should be repeated over 5–10 days.
Recommended Treatment Times:
The indicated times are only recommendations. A longer wearing per session is possible and can reduce the number of applications. In case of sensitivity a shorter wear time of the trays with more applications is recommended and possibly a lower concentration of carbamide peroxide gel.
How to achieve maximum results:
Brush and floss your teeth before use Take one syringe out of the box and remove the cap from the dispensing tip. Place a small drop of DC Bleaching Home gel into each tooth compartment. Place the filled trays on your teeth. One syringe fills approximately 6–8 trays. After Whitening, remove the trays, rinse and brush excess gel from your teeth and gums. Rinse the trays with cold water and clean gently with a toothbrush. For at least 2 hours after bleaching, please refrain from consuming tea, coffee, red wine, cigarettes etc. as this will reduce the effectiveness of the treatment.
Tip: To remineralise the teeth and avoid any sensitivity use an after whitening mousse. Wear in cleaned bleaching trays about 10–15 min. after tooth whitening. Possible side effects: Tooth sensitivity, gum irritation, nausea, headache. Symptoms are temporary and should subside in 1–3 days following termination of product use.
Warning: Avoid contact with the inside of the mouth, eyes and skin. If accidental contact occurs, rinse affected area generously with water. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with water and seek medical advice. We do not recommend bleaching treatments on people who are pregnant or lactating.
